PeopleCounter Solutions

Real Estate is typically the second largest expense for most organisations yet its utilisation often goes unmeasured. In a time when corporate real estate and facilities professionals are forced to do “more with less,” they are becoming increasingly concerned with space reductions, increasing staff without expansion, minimising energy consumption, and repurposing existing space to meet the evolving needs of the modern workplace.

PeopleCounter  solutions are comprehensive real estate utilisation analysis tools that provide the insight which empowers real estate professionals to make educated, cost-effective decisions. It uses state-of-the-art traffic and occupancy detection devices and in-depth interactive visualisation dashboards to track, measure, and analyse comprehensive occupancy and space utilisation information facility-wide all the way down to the individual workspace.

PeopleCounter solutions use image and desk sensor technology with greater than 95% accuracy to passively count the number of people entering/exiting a particular location or using a certain workspace. By capturing this utilisation data, you are able to answer the types of questions that can have significant financial consequences.

  • Was the room or desk actually used?
  • What is the average occupancy of a particular meeting room?
  • How long was it used?
  • What is the maximum occupancy of a given workspace?
  • By how many people?
  • Which rooms/desks were used most frequently and why?

PeopleCounter Desk Sensor

The PeopleCounter desk sensors are wireless devices affixed to the underside of any desk, workstation, or related areas.  The devices are not cameras, rather they simply capture movement to identify if the space was used, for how long, and how frequently.  Collecting this data is an important first step into understanding how specific workspace is being used and can be leveraged to measure overall space utilisation, workspace preferences, and the performance of your telework programs. Analyzing Your Occupancy Data

Once the occupancy and space utilisation data is collected using the image and/or desk sensor, it is then processed with PeopleCube’s Workplace BI business intelligence application. Workplace BI provides interactive visualisations in a dashboard format that allows real estate and facilities personnel to dissect and analyse space utilisation trends organisation-wide down to the individual employee or desk level.
