WALTHAM, MA, July 30, 2007 – PeopleCube, the leader in on-demand calendaring, resource and event management solutions today announced the latest release of Meeting Maker(products – meeting maker overview), the popular collaborative calendaring and scheduling solution. This new release features a new Universal Binary Mac Intel client, providing support for both the Mac Power PC and Mac Intel platforms. In addition, this new release also supports Microsoft Outlook 2007.
The addition of the Universal Binary Mac Client for Meeting Maker enables Mac users to access their Meeting Maker calendars from the platform of their choice. It also extends the number of clients available for Meeting Maker, joining the native (PC) client, the HTML client for accessing calendars over the web, and the Outlook client for integrating Meeting Maker calendars with Microsoft Outlook. This is particularly useful for those organizations that run multiple platforms, as it enables users to collaborate more easily via a common scheduling application.
“The Meeting Maker application has supported the Mac platform since the product was first released over ten years ago,” said Kellie Hunter, Meeting Maker product manager at PeopleCube. “Since that time, PeopleCube has been committed to providing our Mac users with the industry’s most innovative, robust personal and group scheduling solution available on the market. By providing these users with a new Universal Binary Mac Intel client, they can continue to collaborate with others in their organization using Meeting Maker.
In addition to the new Universal Mac Binary Client, the latest release of Meeting Maker also features support for Outlook 2007 via the Meeting Maker Connector for Outlook (MMCO) client. As a result, Meeting Maker and Outlook 2007 users within the same organization can schedule meetings in Outlook or Meeting Maker, whichever is preferred. Further, it enables Meeting Maker users to utilize standard Outlook features such as appointment creation, modification or deletion within the Meeting Maker environment. Conversely, MMCO also allows Outlook 2007 users to schedule meetings using Meeting Maker's user/resource/location lists and view the availability of Meeting Maker users quickly and easily.
